Abstract

Normally in Indian Airport not much sophisticated equipments are available for the detection of faults that occur in the runway lighting system. Now the detection of faults is being carried out through manual means. However it is not much easy to solve the problems that occur in the complex runway wiring circuit. But in future as air traffic increases, presence of a sophisticated system with necessary facilities for quick identification and rectification of faults becomes mandatory. So the checking systems are to be automated essentially.

The problems at the beginning itself can be solved immediately without allowing the little problems to make bigger consequences. So this project entitled WIRELESS ILLUMINATION MEASUREMENT SYSTEM FOR RUNWAY LIGHTS. Is a step forward in this direction and hence earns a great importance in the automation of modern airports
