WIG Weather Index Guide

Abstract

Our project is on “WIG: Weather Index Guide”. This is an application that you activate before you might get into an emergency situation (i.e. before walking alone through a hot tunnel). Then you have to press a button (or a finger on the screen...) and as soon as you lift the finger from that button/screen, the device show the temperature details and risk level When your Android mobile is locked with the default pattern, it is easier to open and an emergency call. In the Android OS, we can create shortcuts to emergency numbers as well as take it a step further with the Maps app. Using Google maps we can see the present location where we are and send it in the form of a message. The main scope of the “WIG: Weather Index Guide” app is to instruct and as warn about the present temperature location where ever we are.

EXISTING SYSTEM:

In the existing applications we don’t have parameter to calculate risk level.

DISADVANTAGES OF EXISTING SYSTEM:

Here, the disadvantages are:

There are chances of running the application unknowingly.

Existing system do not have the extra features like calculating the risk level and location details

PROPOSED SYSTEM:

In this project we develop WIG: Weather Index Guide. Weather is one of the most relevant and obvious parts of the natural world. Consciously or unconsciously, nearly everyone considers the weather before leaving home each day. Our awareness of daily weather helps us make many decisions, including our choice of clothes, transportation, and daily activities.

ADVANTAGES OF PROPOSED SYSTEM:

Forecasts for the week ahead including temperature, wind direction and speed, air pressure, precipitation amount and probability and relative humidity

Worldwide alerts and warning levels for extreme weather Additional features: Tips and First aid message at Caution time

MODULES DESCRIPTION:

USER MODULE

You can create notes displaying on your mobile. Your notes can be displayed immediately after creation or in the certain moments of time. Set mobile number & submit.

LOCATION MODULE

Google has long defended its collection of location as helpful in providing services, Using “GPS” app we can find the present location where we are, to certain selected contacts by activating the app on to the home screen

MESSAGE MODULE

When we click onto the app it displays the details of Temperature and also the Risk level in it. Its set with some threshold value, if the value goes beyond the threshold level then it notifies with red color, indicating the risk level.
