Active Headlight Steering Control with Brightness Control

Abstract

As for Indian road transport scenario is concerned, accidents are becoming a day to day cause an attempt has been made in this project to reduce such mishaps.
In our project of “AUTOMATIC HEAD LIGHT ALIGNMENT SYSTEM” having the following operation occurs automatically in the vehicle. They are,

• Automatic head light left/right alignment with respect to the steering movement.

• Automatic head light up/down alignment.

Automatic head light dim/bright controller is consisting of LDR sensor circuit, Control Unit, Dim/bright light and frame.

The sensor is used to detect the opposite side vehicle (Light Beam) on the path. There is any obstacle on the path, the sensor senses the obstacle (Light Beam) and giving the control signal to the Dim/bright Light.

INTRODUCTION:

Car safety is the avoidance of automobile accidents or the minimization of harmful effects of accidents, in particular as pertaining to human life and health. Special safety features have been built into cars for years, some for the safety of car's occupants only, and some for the safety of others.

“AUTOMATIC HEAD LIGHT DIM/BRIGHT CONTROLLER”, which is fully equipped by sensors circuit and dim/bright light. It is a genuine project which is fully equipped and designed for Automobile vehicles.

This forms an integral part of best quality. This product underwent strenuous test in our Automobile vehicles and it is good. Man has needed and used energy at an increasing rate for its sustenance and wellbeing ever since he came on the earth a few million years ago. Primitive man required energy primarily in the form of food. He derived this by eating plants or animals, which he hunted.

WORKING OPERATION:

1. LEFT AND RIGHT MOVEMENT OF HEAD LAMP:-

The liver mechanism is fixed to the rack and pinion steering arrangement. The rack and pinion steering is moving to one direction, automatically the head lamp is turn in that direction.

2. UP AND DOWN MOVEMENT OF HEAD LAMP:-

The Float sensor is fixed in the chassis of the vehicle, so that it senses the upward, downward direction of the vehicle. It senses these signals and giving control signal to the control unit. The control unit activates the D.C permanent magnet motor automatically. This motor will rotate depends upon the degree of the vehicle inclination.
The sensor is fixed in front of the vehicle, so that it senses the any obstacle in front of the vehicle. It senses the obstacle and giving control signal to the control unit. The control unit activates the dim light automatically. This operation is called “Automatic head light dim/bright control”

 Low Cost Automation Project

 The head lamp aligns in four directions (Left, right, up and down).

DISADVANTAGES:

• Additional Cost is required.

APPLICATIONS:

• This system can be used in heavy moving vehicles such as buses and trucks etc.

• Thus it can be useful for the following types of vehicles;

1) MARUTI,

2) AMBASSADOR,

3) FIAT,

4) MAHINDRA,

5) TATA
